Voor ons een onbekend merk, Simons Gaming Solutions. Het merk is zo lijkt het een sub onderdeel van de webshop simplace.co (waarvan wij altijd van mening waren dat het een buitenlandse webshop was niets is minder waar en de webshop blijkt gevestigd in Nederland) en vooralsnog is het assortiment beperkt tot de S1.
De S1 lijkt in de categorie te gaan vallen waar we ook de RSeats, Playseats en sommige TrakRacer rigs tegen komen, kant en klare sim racing rigs voor de iets wat serieuzere sim racer die niet meteen een "full blown alu rig" in zijn kamer wil hebben staan.
De Simons Gaming Solutions S1 wordt geleverd als complete set, stoel, seat sliders, pedal plate... alles zit er op en er aan dus het is een kwestie van wheelbase en pedalen er op schroeven en gaan. Het onderstel lijkt echter gewoon opgebouwd uit aluminium profielen wat je als gebruiker de mogelijkheid zou geven de rig in de toekomst verder uit te bouwen. Hoe de S1 zich gaat verhouden wanneer je er een setje Heusinkveld Sprints en een Simucube Pro op monteert valt te bezien maar dat is waarschijnlijk ook niet helemaal de doelgroep waar men met de Simons Gaming Solutions S1 op mikt.
Prijs van de S1 van Simons Gaming Solutions komt op €679 wat redelijk in lijn ligt met wat je bij de concurrentie betaald voor een vergelijkbare setup. Op het moment van schrijven is de S1 te pre-orderen bij Simplace en worden naar verwachting de eerste exemplaren in de derde week van januari 2024 verzonden.
